Hard Rock Calling 2012 Review

Following up on the recent blog post I wrote regarding smaller festivals I decided to go to the Friday of Hard Rock Calling in London’s Hyde park.

Before the festival began, the weather in London had been absolutely horrific causing events from two days earlier to be cancelled at the venue but credit to the  organisers on getting wood chips into the park to stop muddiness allowing the show to go on!

The Bands

I couldn’t fault any of the bands I saw live that day, what so ever. This is including Iggy and the Stooges, to my amazement that guy still had some intense energy it was crazy seeing a guy of his age move so quick. Another special mention should go out to Skindread who KILLED IT with their immense crowd involvement doing the Newport Helicopter.

And not to forget Soundgarden…

I think the above video should suffice to explain the performance of Soundgarden. I mean come on its Soundgarden! it was just perfect when the rain began falling down during the perfomance of black hole sun. so all in all an awesome day and will undoubtedly return if I have the chance again.
