10. International Commerce Center

previously known as Union Square Phase 7, the International Commerce Centre is part of the Union Square project on the Kowloon peninsula which is situated across from Hong Kong Island. The ICC building stands at one end of Victoria Harbour is located across the harbour on Hong Kong Island. The International Commerce Centre will include a Ritz-Carlton hotel that is expected to be the largest hotel in the world.

Originally Taipei 101 was going to be a 66-floor office tower, a symbol of the new development emerging from Taipei’s financial district.
- A groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 13th, 1998, planners later decided to raise the tower’s height from 66 floors to 101 floors.
- Due to the height change, construction was delayed, the first column was finally constructed in the summer of 2000.

The Busan Lotte World Tower is a 110-floor, 510.1 m (1,674 ft) supertall skyscraper project in Busan, South Korea. When build it will become the fifth tallest building in the world.
6. Pentominium

When completed, the residential tower will be 516 m (1,693 ft) tall, with 122 floors above ground. It was designed by architects Aedas and funded by Trident International Holdings. The AED 1.46 billion (US$400 million) construction contract was awarded to Arabian Construction Company. The Pentominium has one of the deepest excavations done in the world.

The Pingan International Finance Center is a 115-storey supertall skyscraper that is under construction in Shenzhen, China. It is expected to be completed in 2015, and will at that time be the second-tallest building in the world, as well as the tallest in China, standing a total of 660 m (2,165 ft) high. The Finance Center complex will also include a 307-m (1,007-ft), 66-story hotel building.

Burj Khalifa is the tallest manmade structure in the world, at 829.84 m (2,723 ft). The total cost for the project was about US$1.5 billion. The building has returned the location of Earth’s tallest freestanding structure to the Middle East where the Great Pyramid of Giza claimed this achievement for almost four millennia before being surpassed in 1311 by Lincoln Cathedral in England.
